This place is hit and miss but mostly miss. We waited an hour for food when it finally showed up it was cold. They never came back to ask if you wanted another drink. The staff turnover rate is weekly. Never see the same waiter or waitress. The food and drink prices change constantly.I used to love coming here but I think were done with this place.
We go often on fridays after work and we went recently June 5. It wa dthe WORST service ever. If you go nd get Alyssa leave. She left our table a mess, not clearly a thing, gave us the wrong drinks and sugar rimmed our dirty martinis to boot. The pre ices have nearly doubled, and while we don;t mind paying for great food, the service left a bad bad taste in your mouth. She flirted with the other bartender, Judd the whole time and a table of guys and did not do her job. Since when re yoga pants considered a uniform in a fine dining restaurant. She looked like she should work at a McDonalds drive thru, and surely acted as such. Dissappointed
I was on my way out of town and stopped in to pick up some Onion Rings. I love A. @ W onion rings but my order was terrible. They were actually cold. When I bit into them the onion itself was cold like it had been taken out of the frig. The outside was dry as if it had been sitting for quite some time. I didn't have time to go back as I was already on the highway. I have VERY disappointed in A. @ W.
The salads are advertised as huge but are real real skimpy. Very little lettuce, a lot of crutons. $12.00+
Breakfast, Burgers and (when they have) all you can eat fish n chips is your best value. Being in the old Whimp's restaurant location, they have continued the tradition of huge hamburgers, and of course a regular size for those who just need something smaller. When in St Catharines, drop by for breakfast. You can't go wrong
Odered a small birthday cake. When I went in to pick it up was very disappointed to find I had gotten a larger cake than expected. Young girl behind the counter said this is what she was given. Explained I needed a cake to feed five people... this here fed up to twelve. She told me that I could freezer the remainder. I was shocked at what I was told. Felt that I had no other option but to take the cake.
My mistake was to even take the cake. I should have just left it there. So, when ordering from here please be clear in what you think you're getting .... and never, ever, ever take something that you didn't order!
I moved to St.Catharines several years ago and found myself in Players for a beer. I was made to feel very at home by the friendly owner and staff and have been a fan ever since. I love wings and have never had breaded before, now I dont eat anything but, Players Wings are the best in the Niagara Region. I have tried most of their menu and most of the food is very good, with the Buffalo Chicken Wrap being outstanding! The service was good but there have been marked improvements lately with the new changes the owner is putting in place.
This is one of those original type sports bars; and I have thoroughly enjoyed sports events like big soccer games, Stanley Cup playoffs and Superbowls with some great crowds. I dont spend a lot of time writing reviews or commenting on places I eat or drink, but Players has a great atmosphere and nice people and the food is always excellent value for money its become my home from home and I would like to thank them.
This is the best tim hortons in St Catharines.
The donuts and bagels and basically everything baked was amazing.
The service was incredible.
Awesome, keep up the good work!
The drive thru was extremely fast and friendly
Dine in was clean and the staff was very kind
If I were to eat at a Tim Hortons every day this would be the one!!!
So all in all the food was great, the real issue was the fact that I became deathly ill approximately 1 hour after eating. I had Hot and Sour soup, Dim Sum, Kung Pao chicken and vegetables. I went to the store the next day when I was finally able to get myself together for traveling and spoke with the manager. When speaking with the manager she insisted that it must have been something else that I ate before we ate at her restaurant. I had eaten a banana with peanut butter for breakfast and fruit for lunch so I know it was not what I had eaten. She insisted that her food was always fresh and never old or that they would throw it out if it was bad, then proceeded to explain that mixing bananas and spicy food is bad and was the cause for my illness. At that point I explained to her that I have been to China, Thailand, Japan, India and around the world several times and have eating spicier food than the stuff they served in their restaurant. When I asked for a refund for my bill I was refused and brushed off and told that someone would contact me (which no one has yet to date). I will never eat at this chain again due to their lacking of proper customer service and failure to recognize that they were at fault for my illness. It is really a shame because the food was awesome except for the botulism.
The Pizza House makes better pizza than any of the 25 other pizza places I've tried in the region. They crush. Excellent cheese, amazingly thin crust if you order it that way - it can hold its own with anything in New York. A small pleasure that I never get tired of. Thank you Pizza House.
The owners are very rude. The woman(owner) forgot to put half my things into the bag, so I had to drive all the way back. They didn't even apologize, or try to make it right. They do not want your business. They don't give you a receipt, which I'm sure is illegal. DO NOT SHOP HERE !!
Until a few years ago, we were loyal customers. Now we'll never order there again. When we ordered a pizza special, my wife realized they forgot the garlic bread. Being this was the first problem we've ever had, I said to give them a call and I'd go over and get it (fully expecting it ready when I arrived). Instead, my wife was put on hold for 10 minutes, and when I got there, the manager starting saying he was 100%, 150%, 10000% sure he put it in there, since he was training a new guy.
He kept indicating we were lying, and I said call my wife as maybe she found it in the order after I left. He said he was going to anyway, and then told my wife on the phone he was 100%, 200%, etc. sure that he put it in there. He said "something must have happened to it between the time he put it in the bag, and the time I arrived home." I said to forget it, and that it felt like he he was calling me a liar, and he said that "Well it feels like you're calling me a liar." Three hours after we'd originally orders, he called at 9pm, saying he wanted to make sure that everything was okay. We said that it wasn't, and that it wasn't even an issue of a $2 garlic bread, but the way we'd been treated. He started saying that he was 100%, etc that he was sure he'd put the garlic bread in there, and that "I know I did my job." He then started saying "Admit it ... admit you have the garlic bread."
The guarantee is that they'll put everything right, or your money back. However, when trying to resolve a simple issue of missing garlic bread with the manager, we were repeatedly treated poorly. As the man in question is the manager, there was no other contact method of reaching the owner directly. We were so annoyed, we filed a complaint with the better business bureau, and received word from the owner that he video tapes his employees and refused to admit any wrong doing. If you want poor treatment, go here. Otherwise, there are better restaurants to get pizza from.
It was awful.
The curry and all the sauces were very watery, and the chicken balls were gritty, greasy and undercooked. Chicken chow mein tatsted like at least a few of the vegetables were just starting to rot. The only thing decent was the pork fried rice we ordered, although we didn't see much pork in it.
The worst part was when we called to tell them that we had issues with the food, the woman who answered the phone hung up one me. Twice. They refused to offer us anything (we were hoping to get our money back, but any sort of offer would have made us happy at that point) and she just kept saying the food is good, and we must not know what Chinese food is supposed to taste like.
The food wasn't good. The service was a lot worse.
Reasonable priced and great food for take out, very clean restaurant and friendly staff............always willing to go beyond call of duty for customer satisfaction. They also have delivery and take delivery orders over the phone. MR Sub serve excellent food at a very reasonable price. I recommend that their choice of Sandwiches is better than their competitors.
Long time loyal customer. We were gone for a while and were so sad when they sold previous restaurant. Happy now they have opened even closer and much nicer place. Very Very Clean. Taste is unequaled.
Very fast service. We could not be happier. Delivery is great, always on time.
