Ruan Thai features authentic Thai cuisine in a family friendly atmosphere.
It's probably the best Thai cuisine restaurant in the Lower mainland and there's no more caption needed but since I need fifty words I will say u should go there intsead of going to the others Thai restaurant.... the owner is really nice and the service was really great there's not much to say then it's great
I went to Thailand 2 years ago and really enjoyed my trip. The food there was incredible,i.e., delicious, fresh & reasonable price. Once I tried Ruan Thai, I have that feeling again. I had Seafood set at $19.99 only and got 3 starters (spring roll, popcorn shrimp & crispy wontons), seafood salad & Pad Thai Prawns. My wife ordered Veggie set with 2 appetizers, coconut hot & sour soup tofu, sweet & sour tofu with rice at $12.99!!! Everything is awsome. I, therefore, would like to recommend this small restaurant to everyone who loves authentic Thai food.
My sweetie and I love Thai food and were delighted to find this restaurant in the Brookswood Centre on 200 St. All ingredients were fresh, the food was spiced just right, and the service was delightful. This is a "must return to" place!
I truly recommend this place for great Thai food. The host was very accomadating. The food portions were just right. The flavor was fantastic. Being in Thailand and tasting food from their best restaurants, has given me the opportunity to compare the dishes prepared here. I truly go to this restaurant at least once a week, sometimes more, because of the flavor in the dishes they prepare. It always taste fresh. The menu has a lot to offer in Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. I often take my guests and relatives here.
Why can't anyone make good Thai food? On the back of the other reviews we ordered take away. Worst Pad Thai ever. Rice noodles, a scattering of grated carrot and a few chopped peanuts. The other two dishes, one a green curry, the other a bbq chicken special were better, but overall, very disappointing. Won't be back. No wonder the place was deserted. Only plus? The serving containers (2 of the 5 they gave us) are at least reusuable.
The search (for good Thai in Langley) continues!
This place is a great hole in the wall. I only discovered it the other day and boy am I glad I did! Coconut rice was great as were the chicken dishes we ordered. I'm not sure what authentic Thai food is like or if this is like it, but it was good food so what does it matter?
I'll definitely return, and couldn't go back too soon!
