It's probably the best Thai cuisine restaurant in the Lower mainland and there's no more caption needed but since I need fifty words I will say u should go there intsead of going to the others Thai restaurant.... the owner is really nice and the service was really great there's not much to say then it's great
I visited this place for buying meals for myself and for two friends; ordered Tray A.
It was really nice with good food quality. Also it contains huge amounts of food which means it was enough, or even more for 3 people. People who work in here was really kind and provided great service for everyone.
I really suggest to go here if you are planning to eat a food nearby this location. It's worth it, however won't be disappointed.
I remember when the bun was a major part of making a White Spot burger delicious. Not any more - they just use generic buns, and they don't even toast them any more. I remember when "Triple O" meant extra sauce. Not any more - it's not only not extra, there's hardly enough. As for the "endless fries", I have NEVER been asked at any White Spot if I'd like more. Apparently these words are just words. My meal was edible, but there's no reason to pick White Spot over any other restaurant.
It's been quite a few years since we had been to IHOP (as the food is not quite as good as it once was....but I notice this all around at other chains too)
I came on Thursday with a friend of mine; and first trip was to the washroom. I noticed the water from the sink was cold (no hot water) I went to talk / complain to the manager. She said I could use the sink that was behind the counter....No apologies and seemed kinda cold about it......I felt she kinda had the attitude of "How dare you complain" This has happened to me at other establishments too....(most notably at White Spot or Milestone's) Usually the management or employee apologizes (and with a smile....could be fake, but that's ok too) and says they will do what they can to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Anyways; we sat down and ordered our food. I had a 5 stack original pancakes, and my friend an omelet with pancakes. The syrups used to be so good that in the past another friend and I would sometimes have a few spoonfuls of just the syrup......the only one now that's pretty good is the Butter Pecan......but our meal was delicious and a good price (mind you breakfast is generally cheap)
The service was something to be desired. Waitress never asked how our meals was....if we needed anything and never offered to re-fill our drinks.....Don't even think she thanked us.
The meal saved it; so I am sure we will be back to try again.......but really; worse service I've had at a restaurant in years
We were a group of 4 expecting a lot more from this bistro but were very disappointed. The food is bland and the service is slow. We ordered various dishes but nothing seemed to impress us. We reserved a table in advance and were promised a good spot with a candlelight. None of that happened. If you are a foodie, do not bother. Seriously tasteless food!
I have been to Waka sushi many times. I only go there for their food, but EVERYTIME I am disappointed at their service. The waitress never comes by to ask how the food is or to fill up our water or tea cups. I always leave them 15% tip because I know how serving can be stressful, but it seems as though the one server is stressed out almost everyday. But, overall their food is good and I will be going back there.
I was definitely surprised by how cheap everything was. We had ordered a veggie tempura, agedashi tofu, kyu don, and avocado roll. Veggie tempura was very unique. It had a cinnamon scent to it. I don't know if the scent is from the batter or the vegetables itself, I thought that part was interesting. However, I thought the flour coating on both the tempura and agedashi tofu was a bit too thick. The avocado roll was moderate and kyu don tasted like Korean bbq with rice and veggies. I had expected a more sweet taste of the Japanese Tsuyu sauce, but that had not fulfilled to my taste. Overall, the quality was not bad, but it wasn't great either. However, if I think of the price, I think it was a pretty decent payoff.
I always enjoy dining at Sushi Mori as the service is always very friendly and the ambience of the restaurant is fun with sakura blossoms overhead and lots of detail in decor. The menu offers a great selection and has many interesting and creative rolls. I don't like a lot of sauces on my rolls so I haven't experimented that much with too much of the menu but my more adventurous dining partners enjoy most of what they order. Overall it is one of my favourite places to order take out from since the quality of the food is very good and they are quick and have never gotten my order wrong.
It was sad and frustrating. We came to give Milestones another chance. We asked to sit in the patio, which was covered in flies. Finally when the waitress came, as cheery as she was, it was 15 minutes after we sat down. We ordered two drinks and an appie...we waited another 10 minutes and finally the "owner" came and dropped off the wrong drinks.. We decided based on the very slow service to go and sit inside. After that we ordered a french onion soup($10) which tasted like the bottom of a burned soup pan- both bitter and burnt. The waitress kindly took it away with no real questions about our current satisfaction. We then asked for the bill, to avoid further gastronomic frustration...not even the manager asked why we were leaving...when initially we were there for the "date night 50$" deal. To me, this restaurant lacks vision, leadership amd care in its staff...they all look like they are there for a good time. We left and went to A Pasta Place across highway 10...where the customer service is stellar, food is consistent and fresh and we arent treated like we are doing YOU the favour of eating at yur restaurant... MILESTONES- last time we will ever be in your establishment. Thanks!
While I've not been to a Sammy's in a long time I assumed they would have at least had proper training in service..I was so so wrong. First I sit at the bar, around the steroid muscle-bound douchebags that seem to have some kind of in to the server staff, boyfriends or whatever. I try to get the attention of my so called bartender for a drink...well far too busy dealing with said roof monkeys about how much dressing they had on a salad..I finally got a beer..flat but cold. Then after asking for a food menu I was appalled on the prices in a place so much like a cactus/brown social house clone. I ordered a steak bite appetizer.. deep fried to carbon. Sent it back and didn't need another one. I was going to order the 22 dollar chicken fajita just for shits and giggles , alas my so called server was far too busy to talk to me..I guess I wasn't roided out enough for her liking. I won't be back.
Stop reading reviews and eat here! Seriously, its excellent. I recently discovered this gem, and I must say I was very impressed. Langley is over run with franchised dining spots like cactus club and milestones - all good, but all the same. Shiraz offered something equally great, but also fresh and unique. I love the menu, and the fact that there are no line cooks: just chefs who make everything in-house. I was there with a party of nearly 20, and the service was exceptional, friendly and surprisingly fast, a wonderful place, and I will absolutely be back when ever i'm in town.
You think by this day and age, that a company that boasts about its burgers, would have some sort of clue making them.
I work two jobs, so its hard to find time to dine out. So tonight my 16 year old son decided to buy dinner for our family. I was at work (what else is new) but I'm only 6 minutes from our local Red Robin.
Well I might as well been on the Moon. My son dropped off dinner at the shop for me. Opening it right away, I noticed two things right away. One, how hot everything wasn't and how hard as rock and dry the chicken in the sandwich was. I have to also add that the oil that they used to demolish this chicken filet had turned and tasted a little rancid. The best part was the very large weggie fries that were not properly cooked and all the small broken glass fragment like tiny fries (like the end of a bag) stuffed all over inside the box and burger, as like it was some kind of mob hit tossed in the box.
Now the shop I work for used to order from them, now I know why they don't anymore. I told my wife that if I ever get the urge to have something from Red Robin, to kick me in the head. I will gladly embrace our local hospital food over this......manufactured disappointment.
I haven't been there in a while but took some family there recently. Staff is still excellent and handled everything well. I wanted the soup and salad combo but did not see it. The menu was different, I think. More interesting choices and not huge portions although prices did not reflect that change.
Grandkids, who had not been there before, liked kids menu but dessert was not included.
Here is my issue. Kids drinks are supposed to be unlimited refills. Breadsticks, soup and salad are supposed to be unlimited refills. But the waitress quickly removed the plates of soup as soon as they were finished and no mention was made of refill at all. The soup itself was thinner with less content in a smaller bowl and that was very disappointing, their Zuppa Toscana is one of my favourite soups.
There was no wine offering at all.
So changes .... liked my tilapia very much ..... didn't like my soup as much .... where was the wine I was looking forward to .... just had water in the end ....
My wife ordered at 4:13 on a slow Thursday as she goes night school at 6. I get home at five and no food yet for our family. We called and was told it was the only order. The driver finally shows at 5:50. My wife had to eat a sandwich and I had to make chicken strip and fries. I called for an explanation and none was given just sorry. Do not order from there !!
Tucked into a small strip mall storefront is this gem of a Sushi restaurant. Focused primarily on takeout, with optional limited counter seating inside, the warm and charm of this independently owned business is an affordable experience to remember.
Great value for what you pay for and $10 easily fills you up. Hot tea available in the restaurant waiting area while you wait for your FRESHLY MADE sushi.
Warm and friendly environment with a smiling Sushi Chef rounds out the overall fantastic experience.
Best Dim Sum I have had in a long time! One of my Chinese friends had told me that Luxe was the best place in the area for good Chinese food, and we were not disappointed. The service was quick, friendly and we got all our food at high rate of speed! Everything we had was great, plus the sesame balls for dessert. I read a bad review about the washroom, but I didn't have to use them, so I can't say anything... I will definitely go back.
I have driven past this little dive many a time. But today finally went in! I ordered the simpleton chicken donair. It came to me wrapped in a little bundle all hot crunchy and dripping with yumminess. It was very tasty!!! I will be back. The flavours were a perfect balance of chicken, olives , tomatoes and whatever that heavenly sauce they piut in there. The restaurant owner is quick on his feet, very customer friendly and super courteous. I love seeing little restaurants like this flourish! GO SEE HIM! He will cook you something great!
I used to order with them at least twice monthly, but feel that 3 poor quality meals in a row is enough to suspect the quality isn't going to be consistent any time soon. Tonight, my dish to rant about was the deep fried chicken balls. God knows I don't eat a lot of greasy food, but had a CRAVING. you know. They came semi warm, which would have sufficed had they been at all, well edible. Hard as rocks, I mean drop them from 40 feet and they wouldn't crack kind of hard. Hammering them open with my fork, I finally made my way inside and found dried up, stringy chicken that probably started as stewing fowl. I've seen better meat in a compost bucket. Brookswood is seriously lacking in the quality Chinese food department, and I've just eliminated yet another source for it. Best advice.. don't even bother.
My husband and I went here on our way to see a movie at about 6:30 yesterday. The parking lot didn't look too busy so we thought it would be a convenient place to have a quick dinner. We went inside and there were 3 people waiting to pay their bills and about five or six tables occupied. The person at the front counter didn't even look at us. One server who came out walked right towards us with a take out box in her hand and went to the front counter and then just kind of wandered around. As she approached, I smiled at her and she looked right at me, didn't smile back and didn't say a thing. We stood there being ignored for a full five minutes. There were no other people waiting for a table. After waiting a couple more minutes we decided to just leave. We were clearly seen walking out and still no one said a word to us.
We will never go to that restaurant to spend our money again.
This is the best sushi that I have ever had. My sister and I and some friends go quite regularly and are never disappointed. It does not seat that many, about 7 tables but we have never had to wait for a table. We are all retired so we do not mind changing chairs or tables if it gets them more customers. The food is fresh and the service is great. I believe that for the most part it is just the two of them she waitresses and he makes the sushi. Your get tea, miso soup and small tasty dessert. It is the best sushi for your dollar. I can't wait to go back. In fact after writing this review decided to go tonight . Leona Jensen and Norma Macnamara
