Used to go there at least twice a year..enjoyed the buffet....now increased the cost by $4+ dollars and I had the usual dynamite roll..now two 1/4 inch diameter prawns..also order special baked lobster tail roll...came and it was soggy and horrible..left the rest..told waitress..nothing happened..then on the way out went past sushi maker and asked him to show me the grilled lobster tails used in the roll..he reached behind a curtain and showed me a can of shredded lobster meat! Told him this is not a lobster tail..they smiled..nothing happened...walked out and never to go there again.

Very poor customer service and outrageous prices

I had a very unpleasant experience at this Blenz location so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Just go accross the street to the McDonalds and get a better tasting and price coffee and avoid this place. I not only paid for an over priced coffee that tasted like chemicals but the owner herself told me that it was too bad I didn't like it and if I wanted something else I will be paying. Seriously??? She raised her voice and even went as far as to say that it wasn't starbucks. Terrible place!! And shame on the owner

Worst Customer Service

Worst customer service ever. Two filipina ladies who were working at the till this morning (thurs) at around 10am were kinda rude. They were laughing at a customer as she ordered and they're trying to copy what she said. Lucky, the customer still smiled and said, "thank you". They should treat their customers with the same respect. Will definitely not come back.

Love this restaurant!! We eat here often and sometimes I get take-it as well. The value for the money is great and they even include a drink in the price. Always clean and tables cleared. The older guy is usually there during the week and he takes pride in his RESTAURANT but he isa bit short on patience for idiots. I have never seen flirting by the younger guys that are usually there on the weekends.

As for the guy with the Entertainment book, he said he produced it upon paying ...eveyone knows you have to show it WHEN YOU ORDER .... would have given the owner a chance to explain too many books were sold and he had stopped honouring it. His prices are very reasonable for value and I can't really blame him for having this issue.

Went there just before noon on a Saturday. Son-in-law likes this place and wanted us to try it. Pleasantly surprised by menu .... breakfast special ... which is my favourite .... grilled chicken for the grandkid with allergies .... big burgers for the guys ... small burgers for kids ...and vegetarian burger. We had a lot of time to decide what to order as no one was coming to take our order - middle aged lady was cleaning the grill. I ordered my breakfast special and explained the egg yoke had to be"hard"- no moving around by itself. Over easy then she said and I agreed. Ordered delivered to the table and impressive for fast food. Two big pieces of crisp Bacon, good sausages, lots of hash browns .... but , although over easy, the yolk moved when i jiggled the plate. Decided I would eat the white only but when i cut into yolk accidentially it ran all over the plate right away ... and yolk was cold. So good food but staff should be at counter more promptly... and listen.

Avoid this Restaurant

This restaurant has a number of flaws. Most importantly, the cleanliness of the restaurant is suspect (flys around the table, sauce on the walls, dog eared menus). Secondly, we have discovered many errors on the menu (e.g. a specific price for liquor is listed on the menu but restaurant charges a different price at end of the meal). In addition to all that, on two occasions we have needed a minor amendment to the bill which was followed by an obstinate and argumentative manager who insisted that the mistake was not the error of the restaurant and therefore wouldn't be adjusted. We're talking here about a $3.00 adjustment in both cases which was clearly the fault of staff. We will never again return to that restaurant.

We received a BCAA promotion for Milestones in the mail. After a little persuasion, we received an appetizer, two mains and a dessert for a low price. The chicken on a bed of pasta with mushrooms was more than my wife could manage. I had a steak with frites, very nice two. We enjoyed a tort for dessert.

poor experience at Pelagos at crescent Beach

Submitted Tuesday, September 5, 2017 - 6:27pm [Dine in]

As a patron of this restaurant on monday September 4, 2017 My family and I a party of 10 had a horrible experience. We booked the restaurant and when we arrived were told to sit anywhere we wanted. It was a very hot night and the ventilation was very poor and stuffy and there was no Blinds on the window to block some of the effect of the sun. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and this came promptly and the server brought us a glass of water each. Ordered appetizers which also came within a reasonable time. Meanwhile the one taking reservations (A 13 year old kid kept adding a lot of Drop in customers which is their prerogative but when we started asking for service were told that Two servers did not turn up for work. Looking at how this establishment is run I am not surprised and our main course arrived. In the meantime we had requested for Water on FOUR occasions before it materialised and my wife felt sorry FOR THE SERVER AND SHE POURED THE WATER FOR THOSE WHO NEEDED IT.

It was such a horrible experience and likely even though we live locally, will not support this establishment. I should note that we ate at the GREEK in Vancouver and was a Great experience and comparing the food was also better. The Restaurant management was putting the patrons at risk of Health Issues because of the poor Environment and poor ventilation. I will also contact the City of Surrey and the Fraser Health board about my concerns. Is it legal to employ a 13 year old kid, which is the age the Owner told my wife when she phoned the Restaurant and voiced our concerns.

I was dining here with my friends the other day. Food was ok. However, their service was so bad. My friend wanted to ordered drip ice coffee. I had helped him to put the order. The server (older lady) had mistakenly tried to make two. I had explicitly told her its only one order. But said to me she already have "pressed" meaning she already have activated. Clearly, she hasn't poured hot water in the coffee drip cup yet. In the end, she ended up making two drip ice coffee and charged me for the second when clearly she made a mistake on the order. I was NOT happy about that. I will not set foot at this location for Thai Son ever again!

I have eaten here twice, so I know it wasn't an off day. The pizza crust is soggy, and that's not
"Neapolitan" by any stretch. I have eaten pizza all over Italy, and I never had a soggy crust. I think it may be because their sauce is watery. The sauce isn't very tangy either, so maybe it should have a rethink. Anyway, if you are going to claim to be Neapolitan you should try to be authentic. Excellent and attentive service, though.

Takis disappointed on consistency
By Scott Wallace of Vancouver (1 Review)
Submitted Monday, August 28, 2017 - 6:18pm [Dine in]

This is an update of a third visit for consistency checking, and for a new meal of calamari.

Updating an earlier review here and on my private food blog (don't give the address to restaurants...but currently 5, 923 followers).

Initially, I had given them a great review. Really great. But I always suprise with another visit and check for consistency.

In the interest of hoping the feedback is helpful, and not unreasonable.

Very disappointed.

1. The grilled calamari which was highly recommended was such a small portion I really couldn't believe. Plus too salty. Maybe the latter is personal preference, but my husband found it very salty. Haven't tried the fried calamari but he won't go back.

2. THe lamb. I thought it was oddly oily (a huge pool of oil again, dripped outside of the bag and I still had a quarter inch of it sitting in the take-out container. And I weighed it...the bone and the fat were 65% of the meat. The only edible meat, which was delicious, was approximately 1/3 of the what I paid for! This was a seriously horrible piece of lamb.

Felt really bad and hope my initial review is not misleading complementary.

I don't know if I can try it again but we are definitely back to Stephos one more time to compare and I should definitely give Takis another chance.

One positive note, they were very generous in offering an ouzo while we waited for the takeout (which is always quite speedy...but they're not that busy so speed is not surprising).

Failed to deliver satisfaction
By katesville of Surrey , B.C. (1 Review)
Submitted Sunday, August 27, 2017 - 10:44am [Dine in]

So I was very excited to try Pelagos - and upon arrival and being seated out on the waterfront patio, I thought..."this could be my new go to place". Great location, fantastic view and best of all my favorite food - Greek! Unfortunately the food did not live up to the expectations. I myself make a great souvlaki feast. So I know what goes into it and I would NEVER serve my guests the food that I received at Pelagos. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Everything, right down to the rice and the greek salad, was tasteless. I don't think that any seasoning whatsoever was used in the preparation. The lemon potatoes were floating in grease - good thing they only gave us one SMALL wedge (I mean seriously people - its a POTATO - i'm sure the price for your dish warrants at least 1/2 to a whole potato per person!). It boggles my brain that restaurants that "specialize" can take so little pride in what they are serving. I mean you are a GREEK restaurant - so make the best damn greek food that you can make!! If you are an ITALIAN restaurant - then I expect that I'm going to come there and experience great Italian food. Its not rocket science. If you are challenged by a too large menu and trying to keep up - then limit your menu selections, so you can focus on serving up those dishes in a manner that will keep people coming back. I'm tired of paying large amounts of money for dinners that fail to deliver any satisfaction whatsoever. Take some pride in what you are making - its your business - your choice - your representation.

I am discusted with the way i have been treated, there employees are racist, and rude, they dont listen, nor do they care about food allergies, the food i recieved tonight was under cooked (half duck), bland (vegitable vermicelli), mor do they give you the food they pay for!!! A great location with free gated and secure parking for guests.
They serve schnitzel here currently and it is fabulous...I would recommend you come and try their very reasonably priced food and very cheap drinks! You can play pool or darts here for free when you order a cocktail ,pint of beer or some food. I would recommend all of them!

For locals who want to walk to a venue that is super affordable , clean and welcoming this is it.
If you are looking for a young and trendy place to go then this isn't it but for the price and quality i don't care.

This place is a non profit organization and you are required to sign a guest book when you walk in but that's easy. Their membership is super affordable as well. Go in and try them out .

The kitchen is only open Wednesday - Sat from 5pm though.

Bad Fish and Chips
By Basilseal of North Vancouver District (32 Reviews)

I like fish and chips, but this was bad. The fish (cod) was over battered and over cooked and it had a burnt greasy taste. The chips were just ok as was the coleslaw. If you want good fish and chips try Montgomery's (Lonsdale Quay) or Go Fish (Granville Island).
I also took a look at the fresh fish on display; in my opinion the fish available at your local Save On Foods is much better, as the fish here looked liked it had been sitting around too long.

I've dined here twice, both for the dinner buffets.

Once was the regular dinner priced - I think 14.99 - and the other was their Tuesday all day buffet special price of 7.99.

This place isn't big and for the regular price, I probably wouldn't come here that often when compared to other indian buffet joints around the GVRD because of the small selection (Around 7 main dishes + 2-3 salad dishes).

But at 7.99 Tuesday special, it's a bargain if you're craving for some fast, filling indian food. However, Tuesday selection I do have to say you get what you pay for. The salad bar and some of the mains are nearly empty and refilled very slowly.

Taste-wise, it's on the lighter side. Not too oily, not too salty but at times, lacking in spices too. The raita and coconut rice dessert are very watered down though during the Tuesday buffet last time I had ate it.

This place has freshly prepared naan brought right to your table if you'd like.

Utensils and plates are all very clean. Bathroom is clean.

The best mains were the fish and patak paneers. Butter chicken and tandoori chicken have very little flavor. Although this place advertises goat curry, I have not seen any in all of my visits in the buffet.

I would return, but only for the Tuesday specials.

I'm giving 1 star not because of the food but because of the service. One young Asian lady (20-30 years old) with above the shoulder hair that is streaked brown is the rudest employee I've ever come across. She speaks badly about customers in front of them in another language, doesn't offer certain tables the free rice, soup, and egg roll (she brings them to other tables without being asked), and rolls her eyes at customers behind their backs. I love the food here but after multiple incidents with her I doubt I will be back.

Do Better!!!!
By me3vanc of Cloverdale (20 Reviews)
Submitted Tuesday, August 1, 2017 - 9:49pm [Take-out]

A while ago I wrote a complaint to Ming Sing about this location - dirty front glass and no selection.

Then the Clayton location opened and it was busy and the food was very good. I ordered from there at least once a week.

Then Clayton closed and sign said to go the Langley Bypass location. Some of staff were the same. This location was not on my way home so went there less often.

Tonight I went there about 6pm (Tuesday). I was tired. Selection was not good. I chose my 3 entree selection and was surprised that it all went into one container. More surprised when I got home to find the King Pao Chicken on top of the sesame chicken. Hmmm. Sesame chicken was still too chewy to eat. The ginger pork was beyond chewy. I am a senior. Usually I eat half for one meal and the other half the next night. Tonight I ate the chow mein and threw the rest out. Not impressed!!! I like your store. DO BETTER! I will try a different location next time.
